Japan has been the victim of a violent earthquake and a terrible tsunami. These natural disasters were followed by a nuclear disaster, which could have been avoided if the atomic industry, the Japanese authorities and the International Atomic Energy Agency had put priority on safety. In 2006, seismologists had described in vain this catastrophic scenario.
The need for energy, the profits of the nuclear industry, and the interest of countries to possess the technology for nuclear weapons must not stand in the way of abandoning nuclear power.

Since 1945, the air, the water and the ground have been contaminated by artificial radioactivity, which has been and will be responsible for millions of deaths and diseases.

No economic consideration can prevail over health and life in the present and the future.

That is why, walking for the peace across France, the most nuclear country in the world per capita, I ask for an immediate and definite halt to nuclear power.
